A Luxembourg company specialising in recovery and recycling operates an electric truck, among other things, in its regular activities. Two fast charging stations have also been installed on its site to ensure the vehicle can be charged, notably using electricity generated by the company's photovoltaic panels. This experience, presented in an RTL Energietipps capsule, shows that these solutions can be particularly suitable for certain industrial applications, with notably less maintenance required than a combustion engine vehicle.
In the lifting and handling sector, Megalift is gradually modernising its fleet of machines with electrically powered cranes. The aim is to reduce local emissions and noise, particularly on urban construction sites and inside industrial halls. As Pier Schackmann explains, this equipment allows the company to work quietly and without local emissions, while maintaining a high level of operational performance.
