FAQ

• In general, one space per dwelling or business premises* is eligible.
• Where the applicant owns or rents several spaces attached to the same building, financial aid may be granted for only one of these spaces. However, if the applicant is the owner or tenant of several dwellings or business premises in the same building, financial aid may be granted for only one such space per dwelling and business premises.
• Where more than one applicant owns or rents the same dwelling or business premises, only one space per dwelling or business premises is eligible for financial support.

*For business premises, the application must be made by a natural person.
 

Applications must include all of the following supporting documents:

• a copy of the correctly paid invoice, attesting to the purchase and, where applicable, installation of the charging station; 
• if the beneficiary owns the location at which the private charging station is installed, an extract from the land registry indicating this ownership;
• if the beneficiary is not the owner of the location at which the private charging station is installed, a copy of the lease contract or an attestation of availability for the location of the charging station for which the subsidy is requested.

Financial aid is allocated for new private charging stations installed on parking spaces located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

Applications for obtaining financial aid must be submitted no later than 12 months after the last invoice was issued in connection with the investment.

The application should be submitted to the Environmental administration via a form:

• part to be completed by the applicant requesting aid
• part to be completed by the company in charge of carrying out the installation work of the charging point.

• The amount of financial aid for a charging station equipped with an integrated or external interface compatible with the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) standard, Version 1.6 or higher, amounts to 50% of the cost of the station and its installation, excluding value added tax, but without exceeding €1,200.
• This maximum amount rises to €1,650 if the charging station is integrated into a collective intelligent charging management system as soon as it is installed.

• The financial aid amounts to 50% of the cost of purchasing the charging station and its installation, excluding VAT. The sum shall not exceed €750.
• This maximum amount is €1,200 if the charging station is equipped with an integrated or external interface compatible with the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) standard, version 1.6 or higher.

For any new contract concluded from 1 January 2017 onwards, the new grid for flat-rate benefits in kind shall apply. Existing contracts continue to be subject to the flat-rate of 1.5% for benefits in kind.

No, the invoice does not have to include the child's name. The name of the child must however be indicated on the grant application form.
