FAQ

Applications must include all of the following supporting documents:

• a copy of the correctly paid invoice, attesting to the purchase and, where applicable, installation of the charging station; 
• if the beneficiary owns the location at which the private charging station is installed, an extract from the land registry indicating this ownership;
• if the beneficiary is not the owner of the location at which the private charging station is installed, a copy of the lease contract or an attestation of availability for the location of the charging station for which the subsidy is requested.

• part to be completed by the company in charge of carrying out the charging point installation work

The financial support is granted for investments that take place between 1 July 2020 and 31 December 2024. The date of the respective invoices serves as proof.

Financial aid is allocated for new private charging stations installed on parking spaces located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

The application should be submitted to the Environmental administration via a form:

• part to be completed by the applicant requesting aid
• part to be completed by the company in charge of carrying out the installation work of the charging point.

• The amount of financial aid for a charging station equipped with an integrated or external interface compatible with the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) standard, Version 1.6 or higher, amounts to 50% of the cost of the station and its installation, excluding value added tax, but without exceeding €1,200.
• This maximum amount rises to €1,650 if the charging station is integrated into a collective intelligent charging management system as soon as it is installed.

• The financial aid amounts to 50% of the cost of purchasing the charging station and its installation, excluding VAT. The sum shall not exceed €750.
• This maximum amount is €1,200 if the charging station is equipped with an integrated or external interface compatible with the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) standard, version 1.6 or higher.

The scheme applied depends on the CO2 emissions and the type of engine (hybrid/petrol or hybrid/diesel).

General tax regulations apply. My employer takes into account the new grid of benefits in kind when establishing my monthly payslip.

This is not a reduction in the purchase price, but a grant that only the Environmental administration can provide.
