According to the Grand Ducal Regulation of 22 December 2006[*], as amended, vehicles in categories M1, M2 and M3 driven exclusively by an electric motor or by a motor powered by a fuel cell are subject to an annual tax of 30 euros. Hybrid vehicles operating with an internal combustion engine associated with an electric motor or a fuel cell are taxed according to the fuel system (petrol or diesel).

Benefit from financial support of up to 50% of the investment cost!

Under Article 4(h) of the Law of 31 May 1999, as amended, establishing a fund for the protection of the environmental, municipal administrations, municipal associations and public bodies under the supervision of the municipalities may receive aid covering up to 50% of the investment cost for projects for the rational use of energy and the promotion of new and renewable energy sources. This financial aid is accessible to all municipalities, regardless of their commitment to the climate pact.
