Inspection of heat pump installations: : a new step towards greater safety and efficiency

30/10/25 - News

Since 19 September 2025, heat pumps have been subject to mandatory inspection after installation. This step, already common for gas, oil and wood-fired heating systems, provides an additional guarantee for consumers.

The inspection is carried out by the Chambre des Métiers, which checks whether the installation complies with safety requirements and whether it operates efficiently and optimally. It is therefore an important step, as it ensures that the heat pump is properly installed, correctly sized and suitable for the home and its actual needs.

This approach thus helps to ensure the long-term energy performance of the installation, prevent malfunctions and optimise energy consumption.
