Optimise your solar installation: discover Solarisator

Optimising the size of my photovoltaic installation and solar battery to cover my electricity consumption

Solarisator is a practical tool that simulates my specific energy situation to determine the ideal size for my photovoltaic system and solar battery. Thanks to this simulation, I can:

  • calculate the potential savings on my electricity costs
  • assess my degree of energy self-sufficiency.

Solarisator also takes into account special energy requirements, such as a charging station for an electric car or a heat pump.

I can also customise the parameters according to my consumption habits and the specific characteristics of my home.

Using Solarisator for the first time

The current version of Solarisator is only available in German. Please refer to our step-by-step tutorial for assistance.

When using Solarisator for the first time, I select the ‘Jetzt alle Werte individualisieren’ (Customise all values now) function so that I can specify my exact situation.

If I don't know the price of my electricity, I can enter a value of approximately 26 ct/kWh for the paid electricity and 4 ct/kWh as the feed-in tariff (unless my plant has a guaranteed feed-in tariff, in which case this must be entered accordingly).

A national tool to optimise self-consumption in Luxembourg

In addition to the Solarisator, Klima-Agence launched in 2025 a project to develop a national self-consumption simulator. This tool will be specifically tailored to Luxembourg’s conditions.

Understanding how Solarisator works

Since the questions are currently only available in German, this step-by-step guide helps you understand each part:

Disclaimer

Solarisator provides guidance for sizing the photovoltaic system and the solar battery, and for estimating the electricity cost savings from self-consumption. The Solarisator is not a substitute for professional sizing and profitability calculations carried out by specialist planners. Electricity costs can also vary over time, which can also lead to changes in the simulated results. Klima-Agence declines all responsibility for any results arising from the use of the Solarisator or the information derived from it.
