Call for projects: energy renovation of co-owned properties

09/10/24 - News

How can we make it easier for joint owners to take collective decisions on the energy renovation of their building?

Financing a pilot project for the renovation of residences in Luxembourg

To address this issue, Klima-Agence, in collaboration with the Ministry of the Economy and the GSPL (Groupement des Syndics Professionnels du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg), has set up the pilot project ‘Energy renovation of co-owned properties’. The aim is to encourage building managers and homeowners associations of low-energy-performance apartment blocks to undertake an energy renovation project on the basis of a feasibility study. The pilot project provides funding for a feasibility study based on predefined specifications for selected homeowners associations.

Feasibility study: ensuring the success of an energy renovation project for a co-owned building

Energy renovation permits to optimise the energy efficiency by reducing the associated heat and energy costs. The aim of the feasibility study is to provide the measures and recommendations needed to improve the building's energy efficiency, and to assess the profitability of these investments before any renovation work is undertaken.

Call for projects for co-ownerships: benefit from co-financing for the feasibility study

A selection of five co-ownerships will be eligible to receive up to 90% of the cost of a feasibility study for an energy renovation project, in line with predefined specifications.

Selection criteria for participating in the call for projects

The co-ownership must be a building with at least 4 dwellings and have a thermal insulation class of G, H or I on the energy performance certificate.

How do I take part in the call for projects?

Are you a building manager or a homeowners association interested in energy renovation and whose building meets the above criteria? Are you looking for a way to make it easier to decide in favour of energy renovation?

If there is no energy pass certificate or if it is invalid, please attach a sworn statement issued by the homeowners association certifying that the building has not undergone any thermal insulation measures in the past 10 years.
