Benefit from investment aid
New regime from 2025
In accordance with Article 14, paragraph 1 (point 5) of the Law of 15 December 2020 on Climate, amending the modified Law of 31 May 1999 establishing a fund for environmental protection, municipal administrations, municipal syndicates and public institutions under municipal supervision may benefit from investment aid for projects relating to:
- renewable energy and energy efficiency;
- adaptation to climate change;
- promotion of sustainable construction and housing;
- promotion of low or zero CO2 emission road vehicles.
This aid is available to all municipalities, regardless of their commitment to the Pacte Climat.
Under the new financial aid scheme set out in Circular 2025-050, which came into full effect on 1 January 2026, more transparent eligibility criteria, new project categories and simplified administrative procedures have been introduced.
