The grant of up to €1,000 is limited to the following 100% electric vehicles:

• quadricycle;
• motorcycle;
• light motorcycle (125 cm3);
• moped (scooter and pedelec45)

The eligibility conditions must be respected and the following documents must be sent to the Environmental administration:

• – the application form;
• – the vehicle registration certificate stating the type of vehicle;
• – the certificate of conformity (COC) of the vehicle; 
• – for legal entities, a copy of a document issued by the electricity supplier proving that the aid applicant has subscribed, before the date of submission of the application, to a contract for the supply of green electricity from 100% renewable sources;
• – a copy of the vehicle sale/rental/leasing contract, if the vehicle is put into circulation for the first time in 2021.
• – Rental/Leasing: a copy of the vehicle rental or leasing contract identifying the vehicle by means of its identification number (to be attached only when the application is made by the vehicle owner or when the application concerns a vehicle that is subject to a rental or leasing contract).
• If the applicant is a legal entity, the application can be submitted no earlier than seven months after first registration

No, in order to be eligible for State aid, the vehicle must be new.

A vehicle is considered new if it was registered in the name of the applicant for financial aid no later than 6 months after the first registration of the vehicle.

This definition also applies to exhibition models with a certain mileage.

The Zero emission vehicles purchased between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022 that are eligible for a €8,000 grant are as follows:

•    a new passenger car (electrical energy consumption** ≤ 18 kWh/100 km) new 100% electric
•    a new large family car*** (electrical energy consumption** > 18 kWh/100 km and vehicle ⩾ 7 seats) new 100% electric
•    a new 100% electric van
•    a new hydrogen fuel cell passenger car or van;

**The electrical energy consumption is included either in the Community certificate of conformity or in another equivalent certificate issued by the vehicle manufacturer or its authorised representative and recorded in the national road vehicle database.

***The vehicle must have at least seven seats, including the driver's seat, and the applicant for aid must be a natural person forming part of a household of at least five persons.
